      Mr. Johannes Kepler's  was the first to accurately describe the three mathematical shape of the planet's orbit.
          Have you ever wondered why the satellite does not fall on the earth after going into the orbit.So let's understand it easily.The relationship of force and moment will be studied in your school and college, same thing is happened during launch of  satellite.
         
 How Satellite placing in orbit? why it stay in orbit?
        Satellite is Communication and data collecting device which launch by SLV rocket (Satellite launch vehicle)  velocity of rocket  is much higher than escape (11.2 km/s which is approximately 33 times the speed of sound)  from earth gravity, two things they stay or locked satellite in orbit one is earth gravitational force which pull the satellite and another is momentum of satellite mass. Any object after throwing up falls down due to gravity. This gravity force holds us all on the earth.
     When the rocket lifts the satellite, it needs high velocity so that it can go outside the earth gravity to the orbit. When it comes out of the gravity,it turn into a 90 degree and the rocket engine are pushed forward , So that it can give momentum and velocity to the satellite and it keeps moving in the orbit itself. during launching it needs velocity and altitude. velocity and altitude you always show on screen during any space related mission. Altitude (hight) and velocity are two more important factor of rocket.
      
A satellite near Earth's orbit has a much higher velocity than a distant satellite because of gravity impact.

Let's make it easy, satellite replace by ball and rocket replace by launcher when you throw the ball by launcher, the speed of a ball and the angle of throwing it determines the place of its fall. As you increase the velocity, the projectile motion of the ball increases, and after a while, ball begins to spin around earth.    
               

  • Orbits of earth:

1. low earth orbit-  altitude(hight) below 2000 km and orbital velocity 7.8 km/s needed to maintain.
2. medium earth orbit- above altitude from 2000 km and below geosynchronous orbit (35,786 km).
3. high earth orbit- above altitude of geosynchronous orbit.
